Case Review
When a job is assigned to Legal Eagle, our first task is to familiarize ourselves with the case details to understand the context of the court proceedings and the people involved.
Transcription
Legal Eagle transcribers carefully listen to the audio/video and convert the spoken language into written or printed form with a level of accuracy and professionalism expected from the best court reporters. Each transcript will be formatted to the National Court Reporters Association industry standard for formatting.
Proofing
Once the audio/video is transcribed, Legal Eagle transcriptionists review the transcript for accuracy and coherence. If the transcriber is unsure about specific terms, phrases, or speakers, they research the issue and/or a Legal Eagle representative will reach out to the client for clarification. Additionally, all transcripts will be proofed independently by a professional proofreader.
Submission
The final transcript is submitted to the client. Should the client have questions or feedback concerning the transcript, the client will have a single contact at Legal Eagle to direct those questions and concerns. Legal Eagle is always happy to revisit any concerns at no additional charge.
How To Order transcripts?
Below are three common sources of transcripts used in case litigation. Legal Eagle has outlined the key details required to request transcripts from each organization, including how to book a deposition through Legal Eagle.

STATE COURTS
To order a transcript from a proceeding held in Circuit or Family Court, you must complete SCCA Form 800 for each hearing you wish to request. If you’re ordering a transcript for a consecutive, multi-day trial, only one form is required. Required Information to Complete the Transcript Request Form:
• Transcript type
• Court type (A – Circuit or B – Family)
• County
• Docket number
• Date(s) of the proceeding
• Presiding judge
• Opposing counsel’s name and contact information (email or mailing address
• Names and contact information (email or mailing address) for all parties

Please note: Transcripts from Municipal, Magistrate, Master-in-Equity, or Probate Courts are not available through the South Carolina Judicial Branch (SCJB) portal.

PROBATE COURTS
To request a transcript from the Greenville County Probate Court, please email transcripts@legaleagleinc.com or call 864-467-1373 with the following details:
• Case number
• Date of proceeding
• Presiding judge
• Full case name
• Petitioner’s attorney
• Respondent’s attorney
Legal Eagle will obtain the audio recording from the Probate Court and provide you with an estimate of the transcript’s length and cost. A deposit may be required before production begins. Standard turnaround time is 10 business days, unless the transcript is estimated to exceed 100 pages, in which case a custom delivery timeline will be provided. For probate transcripts in other Upstate counties (Anderson, Spartanburg, Oconee, and Pickens), please contact the clerk of the respective Probate Court directly.
